Medical Advisory


Dr. David A. Bateman

Dr. David Bateman is Board Certificated in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Pediatrics. He is Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is Director of Network Nurseries and Attending Neonatologist at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. He graduated from Baystate Medical College – Tufts University School of Medicine, completed Residency at Tufts University Hospital, Residency: Lincoln Medical & Health Center and Fellowship: NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Bateman holds a Masters of Science in Biostatistics. His Hospital Affiliation is at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia.


Dr. Matthew Drago

Dr. Matthew Drago is a Neonatology Fellow at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital/Columbia Medical Center, Pediatric Resident The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He completed an internship in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He received a medical degree and a master’s degree in bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania. He has a Bachelor of Arts from College of the Holy Cross.


Dr. Christina Matera

Dr. Cristina Matera is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She graduated summa cum laude from Boston College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and received her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in 1986. Thereafter she completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship training at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.


Dr. Lewis P. Schneider

Dr. Lewis Schneider is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. His specialty is Digestive & Liver Disorders. Dr. Schneider graduated from the State University of New York – Downstate Health Sciences Center, and completed Internship: Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, NY, Residency: Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, NY, Fellowship: Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, NY. Dr. Schneider Assistant Professor of Medicine at CUMC and Hospital Affiliations is NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia.


Carrie Kosta

Carrie Kosta is a NICU RN at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. She received a Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, Bachelors of Science in Nursing from University of Delaware and is a Registered Nurse Certified in Neonatal Intensive Care.


Courtney Clark Morrison

Courtney Clark Morrison is a NICU RN at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. She received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Columbia University and is a Registered Nurse Certified in Neonatal Intensive Care and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University
